Markings:
Signed "Ch. Jacque" l.r., titled on a presentation plaque, with a label From Scott & Fowles Co., New York, affixed to the stretcher.
Condition:
Lined, stable craquelure, surface grime; framed; Small area of raised but stable horizontal craquelure measuring 1-1/2 inches across which is more heavily varnished, located in the sky 6 inches in from the left side and 2 3/4 inches down from the top edge. Overal varnish appears discolored. Lining is quite old.
